Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the passenger variant of its popular utility vehicle Maxximo and it has been christened as 'E Maxximo". It is available in two variants - 7 seater and 8 seater. Mahindra E Maxximo is a small van with a unique C2 CRDe engine that is one of its kinds. The detailed description of this truck is given below as follows.

Design and Style

E Maxximo is easily one of the most comfortable passenger vehicles on the Indian roads with the longest passenger seat measuring 1540 mm in its segment. It comes in two variants: D+6 and D+7 seating arrangement. Taller and wider than most other vehicles in its class, you have ample legroom, elbowroom and headroom. Engine Specification

Mahindra E Maxximo is powered by a common rail 2 cylinder diesel engine which displaces 909cc. It develops maximum power of 25 Bhp at 3600 rpm with maximum torque of 55 Nm at 2200 rpm. The company claims that E Maxximo returns mileage of around 18 kmpl on highway.

Braking and Handling

The front tyres use IFS (independent front suspension) with McPherson strut suspension and leaf spring with shock absorbers is used in rear suspension. It has a fuel tank capacity of 33 litres and gives an average mileage of 20 kmpl. Its kerb weight is 1090 kg and the gross weight is 1750 kg. With LSPV (load sensing proportional valve) it has disk brakes at front and drum brakes in rear wheels with booster assist technology. The booster assist technology magnifies the braking pressure resulting in the faster deceleration and the chances of spinning of vehicle will be minimal and the vehicle will be stable.

Safety

The E Maxximo ensures complete protection. The rigid body with a monocoque structure keeps the vehicle stable even at high speeds. It is capable of overcoming the abuse of bad roads and is designed to withstand rough and tough use. In case of roll-over, the tough structure guarantees the safety of its occupants. The E Maxximo’s rear tailgate with full door and fixed glass ensure the safety of the last row passengers and luggage. To ensure that your journey is safe, the E Maxximo is fitted with Vacuum Assisted Booster & Load Sensing Proportionate Valve (LSPV). The LSPV regulates the fluid pressure to the rear wheels by sensing the load on the vehicle. This results in better braking stability on different load conditions and prevents rear wheel locking on all seasonal (wet & dry) conditions. The E Maxximo doesn’t rely on the outdated mechanical cable operated accelerator. Instead, it comes equipped with the drive-by-wire technology you’ll find only in advanced cars. This consists of a sophisticated pedal position sensor that closely tracks the position to which you press the accelerator. The information is sent to the Engine Control Module (ECM), or in simpler terms, a small computer embedded in the Maxximo Mini Van. With the drive by wire accelerator, the vehicle is much more responsive and has an instant pick up.
