"e-Auction System" is being introduced with a view of bringing transparency into the system of allocation of registration mark. Registration Numbers of extreme demand having some specific sequence which makes your communication identity simpler are termed as Vanity/Fancy/Premium Numbers. These numbers are segregated into different patterns depending on their sequence of repetition and representation. Now the Govt. Of Punjab is intended to set a platform in order to make these Premium numbers available for the customers who are more fascinated towards Fancy Numbers. As the demand is extremely high these numbers are pooled for auction so that every individual can make out a chance to grab the number of their choice by participating in Auction conducted on this website. As a whole this Website sets a transparent medium which opens a way to explore our valuable services to the public. Since this system will involve integrated system wherein there will be minimal human interference thus awarding choice number to the highest bidder of any choice number.

Vehicle Fancy Number Notification

No.10/75/2005-4T2/599823/1 In super session of Notification No.10/75/05-1T2/145045/1 dated 09/01/2014 and exercise of the power conferred by Rule 42-A of The Punjab Motor Vehicles, Rules, 1989 and all other powers enabling him in this behalf, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to specify the following registration marks of choice and additional fee in addition to registration fee, motor vehicles taxes and the mode of allotment of registration marks as noted against each, subject to the terms and conditions as specified below.

Details of registration marks of choice in each series.

1) 0001 - Rs.5,00,000 - Under E-auction system
2) 0002 to 0009 and 0786 - Rs.50,000 - Under E-auction system
3) 0010 to 0099 - Rs.25,000 - Under E-auction system

e) Any registration mark of choice other than the aforesaid registration marks which shall be obtained from another District, instead of the District where he resides or carries on his business - Rs.10,000 - Under E-Auction System

Terms and Conditions

1) All registration marks of choice so specified in the Notification shall be allotted above the reserve price through on-line auction, which shall be conducted by the concerned District Transport Officer.
2) All such specified registration marks of choice shall make available and flashed on the official website of the Department of Transport Punjab i.e. www.punjabtransport.org. A public notice of the fancy registration marks which are to be online auctioned will be published in the news paper of Punjabi and English having wide circulation in the Punjab State.
3) The portal for submitting bids for the allotment of registration marks of choice through on-line auction shall be opened for a period of seven days till 12-00 PM of the last day so specified for the purpose.
4) The applicant/bidder is required to remit a fee of Rs. Two Thousand for 0001 registration mark, Rs. One Thousand for 0002 to 0009 and 786 registration mark, Rs. Five hundred for 0010 to 0099 registration marks, Rs. Two hundred for registration marks mentioned at Sr.No.4 (a) and Rs. One hundred for registrations marks mentioned at Sr.No. (b) & (c), before submitting his bid for the allotment of registration mark of choice through on-line within the specific period. Portal will be opened after the remittance of fee mentioned in this clause. Each applicant/bidder can bid as many times as he likes on the specified fee already remitted for the same registration mark and in case he wants to bid for another registration mark he is required to deposit the separate prescribed fee. Each applicant/bidder is required to give his email address before submitting his bid.
5) The successful bidder whose name is flashed on the website of the Department is required to deposit the entire amount of auction within a period of seven days positively. In case the successful bidder does not deposit the bid amount within a period of seven days, such registration mark shall be allotted to the next highest bidder for the same registration mark of choice and intimation will be sent to him through email address given by him. In case the second bidder also does not deposit the bid amount within seven days from the date of intimation through email, the registration mark shall be allotted to the next highest bidder periodically.
6) In case there is a single bidder for any of the registration mark of choice the same shall be allotted to him on the bid amount.
7) In case the successful bidder does not deposit the bid amount within the stipulated period the fee remitted by him will be forefeited.
8) All fancy registration marks which remain un-auctioned shall be allotted at the reserve price on first cum first basis.
