Volvo Auto India has introduced its new updated car known as S60 in the Indian car market with a new family appearance, enhanced interiors, added features and powerful engine. The price of Volvo S60 is found to be approximately in the range of Rs.29.90 lakh – Rs.35,50,000 lakh. It is a luxury sedan which belongs to the D segment of deluxe cars packed with an advanced technology. The car comes in a various models and various attractive colors which would definitely impress the car enthusiasts.

Volvo S60 Engine Specification

The Volvo S60 is available in two diesel variants namely D4 and D5 engines. The first diesel engine D4 gives the displacement of around 1984 cc which generates the maximum power output of 163 BHP @ 3500 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of 400 NM @ 1500-2750 RPM. Similarly, another engine named D5 engine offers the displacement of about 2400 cc producing the net power of 215 BHP @ 4000 RPM in combination with the net torque of 440 NM @ 1500-3000 RPM. Both the diesel models are mated with a proficient six-speed manual and gear tronic transmission.

Acceleration and Pick Up

It is believed that the new Volvo S60 would provide acceleration and pick up. Since the engine comes with two turbodiesel type which ensures excellent performance. The Volvo S60 D5 can be able to cross the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just 7.6 seconds where as the Volvo S60 D4 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 9.2 seconds.

Volvo S60 Mileage

The Volvo S60 is one of the best fuel efficiency car compared with some other luxury diesel cars in which the D4 is far better than D5. The S60 is incorporated with high end technology for better fuel economy. The D5 engine of the Volvo S60 delivers a mileage of about 21.7 kmpl while the D4 engine of the car gives an impressive mileage of around 17.24 kmpl.

The interiors of the new Volvo S60 are very attractive with the features provided in the car. The car has a decent dashboard which holds digital instrument cluster with active TFT crystal display of three graphic themes, fresh upholstery, three spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters etc. The steering wheel is mounted with control buttons for easy access. The interior cabin is really awesome with much comfort and it has the leather-acid steering wheel with dual color combination of charcoal and soft beige color combination with silk metal inlay. The car gets an integrated audio system with control buttons of music player, AC controls and dialing board and also the vehicle provides a TFT screen and the color changes depending on the driving style. The exterior of the car gives an elegant appearance and the front end looks very bold and wide. The body of the color is painted in single tone color which gives a decent fit and finish. The S60 is fitted with the Driver Support Package having the ground breaking supportive technology in order to avoid collisions and alert a distracted driver. The car is provided with an Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist and Distance Alert which makes the vehicle to keep a distance in front at all speeds. It has a Collision Warning with Full Auto Brake and Pedestrian Detection, Driver Alert Control which helps to find out the driving behaviour and the driver can be able to receive an audible warning. Along with that, Lane Departure Warning, Active Bending Lights, Adaptive Brake Light, Dynamic Stability and Traction Control with Advanced Stability Control etc. The Volvo S60 gets a Trailer Stability Assist for maintaining stability and Intelligent Driver Information System which is really useful.
