Style and Engineering

The TVS Star Sport comes with a decent styling appearance along with lot of thrilling, exciting and safety features. Some of the features resemble the TVS Star City bike since the new bike is a sportive version of that bike weighing 95kg. The front is decorated with trendy headlights, good gripping handlebars, rear view mirrors which is really good. In addition, it is fitted with an informative instrument cluster which helps the rider to get all vital information at one glance. The bike has an exclusive headlamp flashing switch for safe overtaking of the vehicle. It is also fitted with a digital ignition giving optimum spark timig at every engine speed saving the fuel.

Moving to the fuel tank, the Star Sport gets a muscular fuel tank enabling the rider to perceive the bike in a new light. This shape of the tank is a rare combination of design and engineering with the fuel tank capacity of 12 litres with reserve fuel capacity of 2 litres. It is offered with a stylishly crafted contours reposition the vehicle as a super star of style which minimizes the coefficient of friction by providing a streamlined shape to slice via air resistance. The sharp contours affixed on the bike add a touch of personality and modernity to the vehicle. It has been developed with a stylish honeycomb textured grills on the side panels enhancing the style quotient of the bike.

TVS Star Sport Engine Details

The TVS Star Sport is powered by a four stroke engine producing the displacement of around 99.7cc which delivers the maximum power of about 5.50kw at 7500rpm and maximum torque of 7.5Nm at 5000rpm coupled to the four speed constant mesh. Its bore and stroke is measured as 51mm and 48.8mm with compression ratio of 9.15:1. It satisfies the power and torque output which is quite good.

TVS Star Sport Mileage

Moving to the fuel efficiency, TVS Star Sport gives an attractive mileage of around 87.7kmpl with the fuel tank capacity of 12 litres along with 2 litres of reserve. As well as, the bike would give decent acceleration and pick and it could reach 60kmph in just 10 seconds and de-accelerates in 8 seconds. The maximum speed offered by the vehicle is around 88kmph.

TVS Star Sport Brakes

When it comes to braking, TVS Star Sport is fitted with drum brakes at both ends in which the front brake is of 130mm and rear brake is of 110mm respectively. This helps to halt the vehicle immediately once brake is applied.

TVS Star Sport Suspensions and Wheel

TVS Star Sport is easy to handle with excellent suspension mechanism in which the front suspension is of telescopic hydraulic fork type of 110mm stroke and the rear suspension is of five stage adjustable shockers of 79mm stroke. This makes easy to handle the vehicle and the bike is well fitted with a tire size of 2.75x17 at the front and 3.00x17 at the rear. In order to enhance the safety of the vehicle, it has 12V, 35/35W headlamp, 12V, 21/5W tail lamp, 12V, 10/10W indicators etc. This feature helps to ride safely during night time and bad weather conditions.

Verdict

Overall, TVS Star Sport is an affordable bike packed with lot of exciting and thrilling features. One of the main drawback is that the bike has no disc brake.
