The company has launched its new bike known as Star in Indian market with attractive price offers. Style and Engineering

The TVS Star looks very stylish and royal and it resembles like a horse with its features and designs. The bike has been designed with exciting sporty graphics and it has an aerodynamic style which is quite impressive. The front part of the vehicle gives a bold and beautiful appearance which is fitted with a halogen type clear headlamp. The headlamp is of 12A, K 35/35 W which provides a crystal clear vision to the rider while riding at night time or even in bad weather condition. Along with the headlamp, the bike has a contoured visor and clear indicators of 12V, 10W x 4 enhancing the stylish feel. The front mask of the bike has an aerodynamic black tinted wind screen and the indicators are fixed either sides of the hood. The Star is well fitted with a black color rear view mirrors mounted on handlebars and it allows the rider to view the rear happenings on the road. The vehicle is blessed with new instrument panels consisting of speedometer, fuel gauge and other common indicators. It has two dial pods such as one dial for speedometer and the other for analogue fuel gauge. Both dials are provided with the backlit system. The new Star is affixed with a unique graphics along with the company logo making the bike stick out from the crowd. The fuel tank of the bike is very wide giving an aggressive look with the fuel tank capacity of 16 liters. Behind the front left indicator, the bike features a mobile charger socket for recharging the mobile phone battery and it is the first in two wheeler industry. The TVS Star is decorated with the long and wide comfortable seat suited for long journeys. Both rider and pillion can feel very luxurious and comfortable with the seats along with a long rear grab rail, foot pegs and foot rest. The rear part of the bike comes in dual tone colors for attention grabbing macho look. The rear ends with a stylish tail lamp cluster and bold rear cowl. TVS Star Engine

The Star is fitted with a powerful and dynamic engine which features a 4 stroke, air cooled, CTVi, OHC engine which provides the displacement of around 109.7 cc. The engine churns out the maximum power of 6.1 KW @ 7500 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque of about 8.1 NM @ 5000 RPM. The bore and stroke of the bike is found to be 53.5 mm and 48.8 mm approximately along with the compression ratio of 9.45:1. The engine of the bike is mated with a proficient four speed transmission as well as smooth handling clutch ensuring smooth ride.

TVS Star City Performance

The Star is expected to offer decent acceleration and pick up. The bike can be able to accelerate from 0-60 kmph within few minutes. The TVS claims that the Star would provide high speed while compared with other bikes in its category. The fuel efficiency is really appreciable in which TVS Star mileage is nearly 83.9 kmpl on all road condition with the fuel tank capacity of 16 liters and 2.5 liters reserve.

Brakes and Suspension Mechanism

The new Star is incorporated with good braking and suspension mechanism which adds more safety to the rider and to the bike. Both front and rear brakes are of drum type helps in immediate braking of the vehicle while riding at high level of speed. The front brake is of 130 mm diameter and the rear brake is of 110 mm diameter. On the other hand, the front suspension of the bike is of telescopic, oil damped and the rear suspension is of 2 step adjustable hydraulic shocks. These braking and suspension mechanisms help a lot in order to handle the vehicle very smooth and easy.

TVS Star Safety Features

Safety is not an issue in TVS Star because the new bike is well equipped with lot of safety features. The bright halogen headlamp makes the rider to be very safe while riding at night time or in bad weather conditions. The instrument cluster enables the rider to be very updated with the instruments in just a glance. The tires also adds more safety in which the new bike features a 2.75 x 17 – 4 ply rating at the front while the rear tire is of 3.00 x 17 – 6 ply rating. These tires offers not only good road grip but also ensures that it would reduces the chances of skidding and slipping.
