TVS Motors has planned to roll out its new 125cc motorcycle known as Radeon which resembles the bike Star City. The new TVS Radeon is expected to be priced around Rs.50,000. The upcoming motorcycle will be available in various attractive range of color shades which would definitely attracts the young bike enthusiasts.
The TVS Radeon has borrowed most of its features and technologies from the Star City bike which is quite good. The exteriors of the TVS Radeon will give an elegant appearance with the black treatment all around the engine and the front will have a bright halogen bulb of 12V-35W/35W for better visibility during night time ride. The front will be decorated with the decent instrument cluster with analogue speedometer and some other instruments which helps to know about the vital information of the bike. The bore and stroke of the bike is found to be 54.5 mm and 53.5 mm respectively.
The new bike will be fitted with a large, stylish and wide fuel tank along with comfortable seating arrangements offering more comfortness to both rider and pillion. The Radeon will have a black grab rail for the additional pillion support and convenience. The rear of the tubular frame design bike is blessed with a big and sharp tail lamp design which is really superb. It will also have a full chain cover looking very neat.
The TVS Radeon will be powered by a 125cc, single cylinder air cooled engine which can produce the peak power of 10.5 bhp at 7500 rpm and peak torque of 10 Nm at 6000 rpm. The engine of the bike will be mated to the five speed gearbox with manual transmission for smooth and comfort riding. The air cooling technology of the engine enables the heat to be completely removed from the engine and makes the engine to be very cool assuring better performance. The vehicle will be able to reach from 0-100 kmph in just a few seconds with the maximum speed of around 95 kmph. The motorcycle is expected to offer a super mileage of 60-70 kmpl in city traffic roads and 75 kmpl on highway roads which will be quite outstanding.
The TVS Radeon will feature an optional disc brake at the front and the standard version will have drum brakes where as the electric start bike will be provided on both the variants. The side profile of the bike is blessed with mag alloy wheels with a front tire size of 90x90-17” and rear tire size of 100x90-17” with tubeless tyres for better road performance. This puncture resistant tubeless tyre helps in avoiding of skidding problems and unwanted puncture problems. Apart from that, the bike will be easy to handle with the telescopic fork at the front and twin shock ups at the rear.
