The Toyota Fortuner is built with better performance engine which is powered by the 3.0 L, diesel engine which gives the displacement of 2982 cc delivering maximum power of 168 BHP @ 3600 RPM in coupling with the peak torque of 343 NM @ 1400-3400 RPM respectively. The turbocharged engine of the Fortuner generates the high engine performance with excellent acceleration and fuel efficiency. The turbo charger with the intercooler maintains the performance by cooling the compressed air leaked from the turbocharger before it enters the engine. The cooled air of the car carries more oxygen which yields in better combustion and the power transfer is performed by the rear wheels since the automatic version is not available as a four wheel drive model.
