Another petrol version engine 1.2L, 4 cylinder, DOHC engine comes with the displacement of 1197cc generates the peak power output of 78.9 BHP at 5600 RPM in coupling with the peak torque of 104 NM at 3100 RPM. Likewise, the diesel engine is well incorporated with the 1.4L, D-4D, 4 cylinder which makes the displacement of around 1364cc giving the maximum power output of 67.1 BHP at 3800 RPM and maximum torque output of 170 NM at 1800-2400 RPM. All the three engines are mated to the five speed manual transmission gearbox which sends the torque output to the front wheels.

Acceleration and Fuel Efficiency

The Toyota Etios Cross is very good at acceleration, pick up and mileage. The 1.5L petrol engine can be able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 11-12 seconds with the maximum speed of about 150-160 kmph. Another 1.2L petrol engine can reach 100 kmph in just 14 seconds and it can attain the maximum speed of 145-150 kmph. The diesel version of the car can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 18 seconds along with the maximum speed of 160 kmph. The engine of the vehicle can deliver a good mileage in which the 1.5L petrol engine gives 16.78 kmpl whereas the 1.2L gives 17.71 kmpl. The Toyota Etios Cross is good at fuel efficiency, comfort and convenience, performance, interiors and exterior appearance. But the fuel economy of petrol version of the car is quite less compared to the diesel version. And the G petrol version of the Etios Cross has no airbags and ABS. In addition, the boot compartment is very less and the ground clearance is not as good. Overall, the Toyota Etios Cross is apt for both city ride and highways. The external appearance of the car is very unique and it would be definitely attracted by the young auto enthusiasts.
