Tata Motors is considered to be one of the biggest and admired automotive manufacturer has introduced its new SUV known as Sumo Grande in different variants and attractive colours. Tata Sumo Grande Engine

Tata Sumo Grande is well equipped with a 2.2 litre Dual Over Head cam Shaft diesel engine with four in-line cylinders with 16 valves giving displacement of about 2179 cc. The car comes with Direct Injection Common Rail fuel supply system generates the maximum power of about 118.40 BHP @ 4000 RPM and torque of about 250 NM @ 1500 – 3000 RPM. This diesel engine is mated with a proficient five speed G-76, 4.1 synchromesh of manual transmission gear box.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

The company said that the acceleration and mileage would be good and decent in which the 2.2 litre diesel engine can cross the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just 18 seconds with the maximum speed range between 135-140 kmph. This fuel injection system and the gear box assures proficient and smoother gear shifts. The car generates a healthy mileage of about 10.27 kmpl in the city roads and 13.55 kmpl on highways. The fuel tank of the car has the capacity of holding 65 litres of diesel which is quite impressive.

Tata Sumo Grande comes with an elegant, comfortable and luxurious features in which the dashboard of the car is of dual tone barley beige and a classy ebony black with fabric finish on the door pads. The seating arrangements of the car is too good with the premium quality soft velvet feel based full fabric along with a back pocket which improves the interiors of the car. It consists of an instrument panel with the central console and switch plate finish done up in a modish faux wood finish. This cluster comes with fabric insterts on the door pads and chrome lined internal door handles which looks so trendy. It has an integrated powerful air conditioning unit with heater and ventilations, rear blowers etc helpful in cooling the cabin with a very short period of time. It has the seating capacity of seven to nine members with ample legroom, head room and shoulder room with plush seats which assures more comfort. Exteriors of Tata Sumo Grande

Tata has performed its best on the exterior design of the Sumo Grande which looks so stylish and gorgeous. The external dimensions includes 4421 mm length, 1780 mm width and 1940 mm height. With these measurements, the car offers a roomy, comfortable and spacious cabin along with the approximate gross vehicle weight of nearly 2625 kgs. The front fascia of the car looks very bold and aggressive with a broad radiator grille of matte black color with chrome finish. Along with the grille, it comes with a logo of the company which looks very elegant. The front is fitted with a broad, bright and radiant head light with adjustable lamps. The front body coloured bumper holds a large air dam to cool the engine quickly and the bumper has a pair of fog lamps adds more visibility to the driver during bad weather conditions. Braking and Handling is one of the important aspect of any vehicle and it comes with a ventilated disc brake with a twin pot caliper at the front where as the rear gets an adjustable drum brake. The suspension system of the car is also sound and dynamic in which the front axle comes with an independent wishbone with coil springs while the rear axle has a parabolic leaf spring type which is quite impressive.
