I had the opportunity to own a Safari Lx for a short while previously. It was a lesson in patience altogether. I was very ignorant at that point of time and had bought it without looking at the specs at all! The engine struggled like hell to push the car forward and got tired pretty quickly. The car was too tall to take corners at speed. But the seats were comfortable and the view commandingly high.
The Dicor engine is not the best for the Safari. It may feel underpowered at times. But it sure is efficient if you don’t tend to drive it hard. The seats are large and there is lots of space. So apart from the driver everyone will feel very comfortable. The suspensions do a neat job swallowing bumps and pot holes. It can do some mud slinging if you don’t intend drive it in too steep roads.
