The Japanese two wheeler manufacturers Suzuki has launched its new scooter called as “Let’s” which has been already showcased at the Auto Expo Event 2014. The new scooter is designed targeting the younger buyers and it would be a tough competitor to its similar other scooters such as Honda Activa and Yamaha Ray. The Suzuki Let’s price is really affordable of about Rs.43,515 and it would be definitely purchased by all range of people.

Suzuki Let's Engine Details

The Suzuki Let’s is powered with a powerful engine of 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, SOHC, two valve engine which produces the displacement of about 112.8 cc. The engine churns out the maximum power output of 8.7 HP at 7500 RPM in combination with the maximum torque output of 9.0 NM at 6500 RPM. The air cooled engine technology helps to reduce the heat produced by the engine and it allows the engine to be very cool enhancing the performance of the scooter.

Fuel Efficiency

The engine has been designed with the new technology of Suzuki Eco Performance for minimizing the mechanical loss inside the engine in order to improve the fuel efficiency. The vehicle get a CDI ignition system and fuel injection system as well as it has both electric and kick start options. The engine is mated with the CVT/V-belt transmission and the fuel tank capacity is nearly 5.2 liters. For better fuel efficiency, the scooter has Engine Control Module which is quite outstanding. The company claims that the new vehicle offers an impressive mileage of 63 kmpl under standard test conditions.

Design and Style

The Suzuki Let’s is one of the lightest scooters in its class which uses a fiber body in order to obtain the weight of just 98 kg. The new scooter comes with a shart cuts, fluid lines, a striking front and bright headlamps which makes everyone to turn their head to the vehicle. The headlamp of the scooter is very sharp and stylish with multi-reflectors offering excellent and wider spread of light helpful while riding at night time.

The tyre of the vehicle is of tubeless type minimizing the air leakage during punctures.

Brakes and Suspension Mechanisms

The Suzuki Let’s comes with a powerful braking and suspension mechanism in which both front and rear brake gets a drum type of about 120 mm enabling to halt the vehicle immediately. On the other hand, the front suspension is of telescopic, coil spring and oil damped type where as the rear suspension is of mono shock, swing arm type, coil spring and oil damped type. This braking and suspension systems stops the vehicle even travelling at a higher level of speed. Both front and rear wheel of the vehicle comes with a 90/100-10 tubeless tire for better road gripness.

The Suzuki Let’s can be purchased especially for its light weight with fibre body and best in class mileage. Even though it has no disc brakes and no alloy wheels, the drum brakes perform good and it enhances the road performances. Overall, the Suzuki Let’s is the combination of styling, economy and practicality.
