Suzuki GSX150R, a full faired bike would fill the gap between GS150R and Inazuma and it would be a great competitor to its similar other bikes such as Yamaha R15, Yamaha FZ/Fazer siblings. The new Suzuki GSX150R is well known for its vigorous and refined engine specification and ideal ergonomics. The bike looks very similar to the front end super bike known as GSXR1000. The Suzuki GSX150R may be available with a price tag of around Rs.1.10-1.15 lakhs.
The front fascia of the bike is well decorated with a LED Twin headlamps and the rear is fitted with an elegant LED tail lamp helps in providing better vision during night time riding. The bike gives a sportive appearance with features fitted with them. It has a raised fuel tank looking very large and the seats are also cushion type with single seat option.
The Suzuki GSX150R features a 149.5cc, 4 valve, liquid cooled engine which generates the peak power output of 14 BHP @ 8500 RPM in combination with the peak torque output of 14 NM @ 6000 RPM. The bore and stroke of the bike is found to be nearly 57mm and 58.6mm along with the compression ratio of 9.35:1. It has a electric start type which is quite good for the rider to start the vehicle.
The bike gets a BS 26 with TPS carburetor for better combustion and the liquid cooled technology helps to get rid off the heat and allows the engine to be very cool. The engine is mated to a six speed transmission with CDI ignition along with wet and multi-plate clutch for better convenience. The powerful engine offers better performance in terms of fuel efficiency with the fuel tank capacity of 16 litres.
The new Suzuki GSX150R is fitted with an excellent braking and suspension mechanisms which enhances the safety and security. The bike has a telescopic front suspension and swing arm type rear suspension with coil spring and oil damped on both sides helps in handling the vehicle in an easy way. The front brake of the bike comes with a disc type brake where as the rear brake is of drum type. This combination of disc and drum brake helps to stop the vehicle even riding at high level of speed. The bike is fitted with an alloy wheels for better road performance.
