The leading bike manufacturer Suzuki has recently introduced its new model christened as GS150R in Indian market. The Suzuki GS150R has been priced at Rs.80,688 which is little bit high cost but packed with excellent features. One of the main feature of the bike is that the GS150R comes with an unique GSX-R derived engine rpm indicator lights which offers an indication to the rider about the optimum up-shift timing.

Suzuki GS150R Engine

The Suzuki GS150R is a better performance bike with powerful and dynamic engine. The GS150R is powered by a 4-stroke, air-cooled SOHC engine providing the displacement of 149.5 cc. The bore and stroke of the bike is found to be 57 mm and 58.6 mm respectively along with the compression ratio of 9.35:1. The bike has a CDI Ignition type and the starting option may be electric and kick enabling the rider to select according to their wish. The engine is coupled with a six speed transmission which provides a smooth gear shift and ride. The vehicle is well equipped with a BS26 with TPS carburetor and the engine churns out the net power of about 13.8 BHP @ 8500 RPM and net torque of 13.4 NM @ 6000 RPM.

Suzuki GS150R Performance and Mileage

The company claims that the GS150R would offer a decent acceleration and pick up. Since the bike engine comes with a new cool engine with Suzuki Jet Cooling System which jets engine oil directly to the backside of the piston. The GS150R can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just a short span of 5.5 seconds with the maximum speed of about 118 kmph. In addition, the Suzuki GS150R mileage is really impressive and it can generate a healthy mileage of about 55kmpl.

Brakes and Suspension System

Brakes and Suspension is one of the most important aspect of a vehicle and the new GS150R is packed with excellent brakes. The front brake of the bike is of hydraulic single disc and rear is of drum brakes. Likewise, the suspension system ensures better safety in which the front suspension is of telescopic, coil spring and oil damped type while the rear suspension is of swing arm type coil spring, oil and gas damped.
