September 2,2010 - Maruti Suzuki launched the limited edition of Swift named as “Swift One Million Edition” with smart and attractive features like splendid graphics, special integrated stereo with USB and speakers, luxurious leather seats, cushions, foot-mats and an artistic decal on the exteriors.It is available only in “Goldsmith Black”color and in petrol version at a price of Rs.483,079 in the ex-showroom,Delhi. January 24,2007 - Maruti launched the Swift Diesel with features of good performance,fuel efficiency along with amazing looks.It is powered by a state-of-the-art, 1.3 litre, DDiS engine.It features a silent,clean,compact and powerful engine which offers superior fuel efficiency and delivers a power of 75 bhp @ 4000 RPM and a Maximum Torque of 190 Nm @ 2000 RPM.It also upholds a high power-to-weight ratio that further reduces the noise and vibration. January 13,2006 - Maruti Swift was awarded the “Car of the Year” in the year 2006.It also won awards for best styling,value for money and viewers choice.

Maruti Swift is available in both petrol and diesel versions.Both the versions are embedded with many different features.The Petrol version of Swift is featured with a 1.2 L, 1197 cc K series engine that offers superior performance.Its engine is fitted with light weight DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) which reduces friction and improves the durability of engine.The K series engine of Swift delivers a power of 85 PS at 6000 rpm and a torque of 113 Nm at 4500 rpm. Likewise,the Diesel version of Swift is featured with a 1.3 L, 1248 cc DDiS engine which delivers a power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm and a torque of 190 Nm at 2000 rpm.It is well known for its performance and fuel efficiency.It is packed with a 5 Step multi point common rail fuel injection systems offering better fuel combustion and optimized NVH.The DOHC valve configuration helps in precise and quick valve operation.It also features a 16 valve cylinder head.

It is endowed with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission Gearbox that endeavours an impressive swift mileage of 16 kmpl.The diesel engine is endowed with 5 step multi injection common rail system that offers better fuel combustion and thereby yields good performance.

Like Maruti WagonR,Swift is also built with both active and passive high technology safety features.Some of the advanced features in Maruti Swift are Dual SRS Airbag which offers great help in the time of accidents and collision.It provides a cushioning effect in collision. Maruti Swift LXI

This is the base model of the petrol version of Swift with BS IV emission and features like ac, power steering, etc.

Maruti Swift VXI

This is the upgraded version of petrol version LXI with extra features like fog lamps, black colored A & B pillars, silver paint door garnish, 12 V accessory socket in centre console, etc.

Maruti Swift VXI with ABS

This is again an upgraded version of Maruti Swift VXI with extra feature of ABS (Anti Braking Lock System).

Maruti Swift ZXI
