Maruti Dzire Engine Details

Maruti Dzire engine looks somewhat similar to the Swift engine in which it has two engine options such as petrol and diesel. At first the petrol engine of the car is powered with a 1.2 L, K series 12M, BS-IV engine with Variable Valve Timing technology generates the maximum power of 86 BHP @ 6000 RPM and maximum torque of 114 NM @ 4000 RPM with a displacement very close to 1197 cc. On the other hand, the diesel engine is powered by a 1.3 L Double Over Head Camshaft along with CRDi fuel injection system with turbocharger and intercooler combination gives a displacement of 1248 cc. This diesel engine generates the maximum power of 74 BHP @ 4000 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque of 190 NM @ 2000 RPM. The petrol engine of the Dzire is coupling with a five speed manual transmission and four speed automatic transmission.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

Since the Dzire’s engine comes with the Variable Valve Timing technology, the car provides a decent pick up and acceleration. The petrol engine of the Dzire helps in crossing the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just 12.60 seconds with the maximum speed of 169 kmph whereas the diesel engine of the Dzire can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 14.8 seconds with the top speed of nearly 162 kmph. The petrol engine of the car delivers a mileage of about 19.1 kmpl while the diesel engine offers a mileage of about 23.4 kmpl. The diesel engine gives a better acceleration while compared to the petrol engine.

Maruti Dzire Interior Features

Maruti Dzire is an entry-level sedan which has been designed with black and beige interiors looking so neat and decent. The new car is very roomy and spacious and it is possible to accommodate five members in comfort. The dashboard of the car is very decent with the beige plastics below and black above separated by wooden trim. The seat fabrics and door pads are all designed in beige colour which offers a luxurious look. It consists of an integrated stereo on top end models and climate control air conditioning are some of the interior features giving more more comfort. The door handles of the car comes in chrome finished which adds more style to the interiors. The car comprises a sporty instrument panel with silver embellishments and 3D acrylic graduations which looks so good while illuminated. Braking and Handling

Braking and Handling is not a big problem in the Maruti Dzire car. The front wheels are fitted with a ventilated disc brakes and the rear wheels are fitted with a drum brakes. The ventilation in the vehicle allows the heat to be passed out freely while applying brakes and so wear and tear of wheels is avoided. Similarly, the front suspension comes with a McPherson strut with coil spring and the rear suspension comes with torsion beam with coil spring which is very similar to Swift hatchback. In order to provide an advanced braking facility, the car is packed with ABS with EBD and Brake Assist.
