Mahindra XUV 500 Hybrid Review
India’s leading SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra has planned to showcase its Sports Utility Vehicle XUV 500 along with a hybrid technology at the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo. The Mahindra XUV 500 Hybrid is expected to be priced approximately Rs.1300000.
The Mahindra XUV 500 Hybrid will come with an excellent measurement in terms of its length, width and height which are displayed below.
1) Length – 4585 mm
2) Width – 1890 mm
3) Height – 1785 mm
Along with that, the new SUV will provide the wheelbase of 2700 mm and the ground clearance of 200 mm. The total kerb weight of the car is found to be 1785 kg.
The new car will come with refined interiors and exteriors, excellent engine for better performance in terms of power, torque and fuel efficiency, revamped brakes and suspension mechanisms and safety features. The SUV will give an elegant appearance with a front grille, head lights, tail lights etc. The interiors will be roomy with lot of features especially the comfortable seating arrangements with enough head room, leg room, shoulder room etc. For better entertainment, it is expected to have an integrated car audio system which will be quite good.
The XUV500 Hybrid will be fitted with a 1.5 litre, 3 cylinder, mHawk CRDi diesel engine along with an electric motor which will be mated with a manual transmission with dual clutch type. The acquisition of Mahindra Reva Electric will help in creating electric motor lithium ion battery combination which will be quite impressive. The Hybrid technology of the car helps to improve fuel efficiency along with the reduction of tail pipe emission levels.
Both front and rear brakes of the Mahindra XUV 500 will be disc type which will be quite good to stop the vehicle immediately in case of any emergency situation. The new car will be provided with a 17” alloy wheel with a tire size of about 235/65 R17.
On the other hand, the suspension will also be good and it is easy to handle the car with a McPherson type with anti-roll bar front suspension and Multi-link type with anti-roll bar rear suspension.
