Mahindra Verito Engine Details

Mahindra Verito has two different types of engines namely 1.4 L and 1.5 L with various variants. The petrol variant of the car is powered by a 1.4 L, 4 cylinder engine which offers the displacement of 1390 cc which delivers the maximum power of 75 HP @ 5500 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of 110 NM @ 3000 RPM and it is mated with a five speed manual transmission ensuring smooth ride. Likewise, the diesel variant of the car is powered with a 1.5 L, 4 cylinder engine which gives the displacement of 1461 cc along with the five speed manual transmission. This engine delivers the peak power of 65 HP @ 4000 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque of 160 NM @ 2000 RPM. The gear ratio ensures great level of city and highway driving.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

The Mahindra Verito is expected to offer an excellent acceleration, mileage and fuel economy. The 1.4 L petrol engine of the car can prople from 0-100 kmph in just 18.4 seconds with the maximum speed of 144 kmph. Likewise, the diesel engine of the car can cross 0-100 kmph in just 17.2 seconds with the maximum speed of 151 kmph. While talking about the mileage, the petrol version of the car generates a healthy mileage of around 11.3 kmpl in city roads and 15.7 kmpl on the highways. The car is comfortable in which the five occupants can be seated without any trouble which is quite good. The seats are wrapped with the premium fabric upholstery with a dual options based on the kind of trim the customer buys. It has a pretty rear seat and rear door trim which is really impressive and comfortable for the persons those who are seated at the back. The back seat of the car comes with three head restraints which gives individual comfortness to the passengers. It has a centre console with many options and the instrument panel has a topper pad with some storage space. Some of the interior features includes parcel shelf, sun visors, a mobile holder, advanced air conditioning system with AC vents with control buttons, luggage compartment with full or partial carpet, bottle holder, ash trays etc. The features are available in top end variants of the car which gives more comfort to the passengers. The company has performed its best not only in interiors but also for the exterior features. The external measurements includes a length of 4277 mm, a width of 1740 mm and height of 1540 mm. The front fascia of the car looks very attractive with a chrome plated radiator grill as well as slanting vertical slats. The car comes with an eyebrow shaped headlamps powered with high intensity clear lens halogen lights giving better vision for the driver in any type of weather conditions. The body coloured front bumper is fixed with a pair of round shaped fog lamps improving the visibility. The Verito is furnished with a laminated windshield with intermittent wipers which is really helpful during rainy season. The body coloured ORVMs with body side moulding, body coloured door handles, body coloured side cladding looks more sporty and lively. The rear end of the car has a tail light cluster with side turn indicators and reversing lights with a high mounted stop lamp. While talking about the wheels, the Verito is fitted with 14 inches wheel with eye-catching full wheel covers such as hub cap, mid size and full coloured. The vehicle comes with puncture resistance tubeless tyres which makes the driver to drive well even in worse terrain without any fear of having a flat tire. The tubeless tire has the size of 185/70 R14 which is good at controlling and handling of the car in case of off-roading. The wheel base of the car is measured as 2630 mm and the ground clearance is 172 mm. Since the tire is large making the driver to feel very comfort even in slippery road which reduces chances of skidding of the car.

Braking and Handling

The new Mahindra Verito is well incorporated with a proficient and sound braking system in which the front wheels are designed with disc type and the rear wheels are of drum type. Along with that, it has an advanced Anti Locking Braking System with EBD helps in deaccelerating the car while needed. These braking system assures better handling and control of the car. On the other hand, the front axle of the car is packed with McPherson type suspension with wishbone link and the rear axle is of H-section torsion beam type with programmed deflection-coil spring.

Mahindra Verito Safety

Safety is not a problem in Verito since it is packed with both active and passive features. Some of them includes ABS with EBD, driver airbag for preventing from collision and dashboard with front unit against the head-on impact. In order to reduce the impact of collision, magnesium steering wheel frame is fixed on the car and some mechanical components are placed in a right place to reduce it. The Verito comes with an array of safety features comprises Central Locking, Remote Door Locking, Child Proof Rear Door Lock, Anti-Theft Alarm, Day and Night Mirror, Headlamps, Key less Entry, adjustable seat belts, door open warning light on IC, windshield, fog lamps etc. All these features altogether makes the car to be very safety and comfortable.
