Mahindra Supro Maxitruck T4

Among many small commercial vehicles available in Mahindra’s fleet of mini and pick-up trucks, Supro Maxitruck is the latest addition made a couple of months ago after Jeeto. The company looks to conquer the falling apart LCV market in India with this new vehicle and has been able to done quite well in the meantime. Supro Maxitruck is one of the new generation mini trucks which have best in class aesthetics and design with features like power steering and car-like comfort making it a popular choice among small business owners. Also, the 3 GVW options offer needed flexibility to buyers before choosing one.

Color Options

Mahindra Supro Maxitruck T4 is available in unique colors. They are as follows

Dimensions

The 2,050 mm is the only wheelbase option Supro Maxitruck is available in along with three variants namely T2, T4 and T6. These variants come with same cargo box dimensions of 2,500 x 1,540 x 33 mm for Length x Width x Height mm, but with different Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). T4 variant has a GVW of 2070kg. Although all the 3 variants have same payload capacity of 1000kg, it has a different kerb weight. It has a kerb weight of 1070kg.

Design and Style

Supro Maxitruck is based on next generation design theory by the company has many eye-catchy points like Mahindra’s famous front grille, body colored bumper and door handles, attractive decals, new wrap around headlamps. Inside, the comfort is described as car-like with features like cozy and fatigued free seats, floor console with bottle holder, floor carpet, magazine holder, new style instrument panel, built in cluster clock, mobile charging facility, driver headrest, dual tone interiors, AC, spacious cabin and glove box.

Braking and Handling

The Vacuum Assisted Hydraulic type brakes with Automatic Wear Adjuster along with Disc at front and Drum at rear, Supro Maxitruck driver feel poised to stop this mini vehicle under all given circumstances. More safety percentage has been increased in Supro Maxitruck by offering features like ELR seat belts, Dual LSPV brakes for better stability, front nose design to negotiate with collision, Mahindra’s durable and tough frame design practice, and crash tested cabin and lab tested material to build the whole body. Manual Steering is the steering type and power steering is also available as optional one in T4 variant of Supro. Driver finds Supro Maxitruck quite comfortable to maneuver irrespective of the terrain or the weight laden. Its relatively small turning radius of 4,700 mm also helps in dodging sharp turns and narrow lanes. For suspension, there is McPherson Strut with Coil Springs at front and Leaf springs at rear to offer bump free drive on not-so-driver-friendly rural Indian roads.

Verdict

Mahindra Supro Maxitruck is available in 3 variants. They are T2, T4 and T6. The T4 Variant is discussed above and they have good engine specification, braking and handling system. On the whole it is a good vehicle with good specification.
