The giant manufacturer Mahindra introduced its new scooter known as Mahindra Rodeo with lot of exciting and thrilling features. The Mahindra Rodeo is available in only one variant Mahindra Rodeo RZ which gives a tough competition to its similar other scooters. The price of Mahindra Rodeo is found to be approximately Rs.50,942.

Design and Style

The Mahindra Rodeo is a smart looking two wheeler which would surely captures all the ladies with its stylish and royal look. The Rodeo has been designed with a 12 V 35 W bright and radiant headlight which provides a crystal clear visibility to the riders while riding at night time or bad weather conditions. The front looks really peppy with the impact resistant body coloured mirrors improving the appearance of the scooter. The vehicle features a decent, complete, informative digital dashboard comprising speedometer, tachometer, odometer etc displaying all vital information of the scooter. It has a trip meter for measuring distances between trips and over speed alarm while moving very fast. After sun set, the seven back light colours helps in lightning of the dashboard and gives a clear viewability. The seats are comfortable and luxurious and it has under seat storage space with the capacity of 22 litres for keeping shopping bags, full sized helmet or any other things. Along with that, the vehicle comes with an under seat light offering light signals while lifting the seat. The scooter is indulged with a front fueling mechanism which is easy to refuel and it has a charging point for mobile, iPod or MP3 etc. Not only the front, the rear appearance of the scooter is also very glamorous with tail lights and turn signals. Mahindra Rodeo Engine Specification

Mahindra engines are well known for their excellent performance, high power and torque output. The scooter has been designed on the basis of DCDI Z-Series engine which is quite outstanding. The Rodeo features a 4 stroke, spark ignition engine offering the displacement of around 124.7 cc. The scooter produces the maximum power of around 5 KW @ 7000 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of about 9 NM @ 5500 RPM. The engine is mated with an automatic transmission gear box ensuring smooth ride. The Mahindra Rodeo comes with a self start / kick start options which is easy for the rider to choose as per their wish while starting the scooter.

Mahindra claims that the new scooter provides much better acceleration and pick up. The Rodeo is fitted with a quick-responding automatic CVT gearbox and it is one of the best transmission system providing an excellent performance. The scooter can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just a short span of 9.35 seconds. The maximum speed offered by the Rodeo is 80kmph. The Z series engine of the Rodeo propels the scooter very smoothly and neatly.

Mahindra Rodeo Mileage

Since the Rodeo comes with an inclusion of a new ignition system and carburetor the engine can generates a healthy mileage. The scooter can deliver a good mileage of about 45 kmpl in city traffic roads and 60 kmpl on highways. The fuel tank capacity of the Rodeo is around 4.50 litres and the ARAI certified fuel economy of the scooter is found to be 59.38 kmpl.

Brakes and Handling

The Mahindra Rodeo RZ is well incorporated with a neat brakes at both front and rear which is quite safe. The vehicle has been designed with a mechanical, expanding shoe type 130 diameter brakes at both front and rear which enhances the braking mechanisms and adds more safety. These brakes performs good even in wet and muddy tracks. The ground clearance of the Rodeo is nearly 154 mm helps to go over the potholes very smoothly and it offers less jerks and jolts providing a pleasurable riding experience. It is easy to handle the vehicle with all these braking features.

Mahindra Rodeo Safety Features

The Rodeo safety features are really awesome consisting of an unique side stand down warning system helps the rider. It has a 4-in-1 anti-theft enables the driver to central locking the vehicle with a single move and it protects the keyholes with shutters enhances the security of the vehicle. The ride quality of the Rodeo is also very impressive with telescopic fork suspension at the front end and swing arm suspension along with monoshock absorbers at the rear. The tubular frame vehicle is equipped with good road grip tyres at both front and rear enhances more safety. Along with that, it has a headlight of 12V 35W and 7 Ah lead acid battery. The headlight is mainly for clear vision while riding at night time and the battery helps in starting the vehicle. There is a grab rail which is attached to the rear seat in order to offer an extra support for the pillion while riding for long journeys.
