Mahindra Gio is India's first compact truck which is ingeniously designed to cater to all the needs of intra-city operations. Mahindra's combined sales of its pick-ups and three-wheelers depicts that it crosses 7,000 vehicles every month which makes Mahindra the biggest player in the small commercial vehicle segment. These vehicles are rugged built, low operating cost and have powerful characteristics yet carry fuel efficient engines. Mahindra Gio possesses unmatched mileage of 30 kmpl. The 0.5 ton cargo box has been designed to maximize the load carrying capacity of the space available.

Dimensions

The mini truck has a pretty generous load area which has a 1570mm length and 1460mm width. It measures 3180mm in length, 1460mm in width and 2005mm in height and a wheelbase of 1815mm. It has a ground clearance of 4mm and turning circle radius of 610mm.

The engine is mated with option of 4 forward and 1 reverse sequential shift, Constant mesh gear box to offer smooth lever movement and intuitive placement which makes shifting easy and confident. The suspension system of Mahindra Gio comprises of Independent units with McPherson Strut in the front and Leaf Spring with Telescopic Shock absorber at the rear. It has been designed and developed for a fantastic driving comfort on Indian roads both in plain and rough terrains. The easy-to-grip, 2-spoke steering wheel, along with the small turning radius of the vehicle, makes it easy to maneuver, even through narrow and crowded areas.
