Mahindra & Mahindra, the homegrown automaker, has rechristened its rural ruler and double cab pickup Bolero Camper Gold as ‘Bolero Camper Gold VX’. The company hasn’t made any substantial changes to the vehicle.

Dimensions

The Mahindra Bolero Camper Gold VX has a pretty generous load area which has a 1481mm length and 1532mm width. It measures 4859mm in length, 1670mm in width and 1810mm in height and a wheelbase. It has a ground clearance of 215mm and a turning circle radius.

Design and Style

The Bolero Camper Gold VX only gets a dual-tone interior, quite similar to the one seen in the ongoing Bolero sibling. There are neither any cosmetic changes nor any mechanical ones, apart from this minute one. Despite being a pickup, the pickup boasts couple of much needed comfort features such as power steering and air conditioning. It also comes with metallic exterior color options along with double walled cargo box. Mahindra intends to broaden its reach and target both the utility and lifestyle segments, simultaneously through Mahindra Bolero Camper Gold VX.

Engine Specification

Mahindra also offers this vehicle with a 4X4 wheel drive variant. Under the hood, it comprises of a 2.6-litre MDI diesel engine which churns out 62 bhp of power output and 195Nm of torque performance. It is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The company has placed it beneath the Mahindra Genio Double Cab in its arsenal of 5-seater pickups.

Braking and Handling

It is coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox. For better safety of the vehicle, the disc brakes are provided at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Along with that, rigid type leaf spring and anti-roll bar offered at the front axle as well as hydraulic double, acting telescopic shock absorbers helps to handle the vehicle even in bad road conditions.

The Camper Gold VX is on sale along with a number of versions of the Bolero as well as other commercial vehicles from Mahindra’s lineup.
