The two wheeler manufacturer KTM has decided to roll out its new bike named as RC 200 at the Auto Expo Event, 2014. The upcoming KTM RC 200 will be a tough competitor to its similar other bikes such as Honda CBR250R and Bajaj Pulsar 200. The RC 200 has been designed on the basis of naked version of KTM Duke 200. The price of the new bike will be approximately Rs.1.8 lakhs which is little expensive but will be available with rich features and specifications. The new vehicle will be available in two attractive color shades namely Black and White.

The KTM RC 200 will come with excellent external dimensions in terms of its length, width and height. The bike will provide the wheelbase of 1340 mm and ground clearance of about 178.5 mm. The weight of the bike without considering the fuel is measured as 137.5 kg and the total fuel tank capacity of the bike is nearly 10 litres. It has a new projector headlight which will enhance the beauty of the front appearance. The front will be furnished with a decent analogue tachometer, digital speedometer, digital fuel gauge and trip meter helps to gather all the vital information of the bike in just a glance.

The new bike is expected to have features including Self Start, Pass-light, Low Fuel Indicator, Stand alarm, Low Oil Indicator, clutch in oil bath, Low Battery Indicator, Step-up Seat etc. The seats will be very comfy with passenger footrest which is quite outstanding.

The KTM RC200 sports the engine similar to the engine of Duke 200 which will be powered by a single cylinder, four stroke, spark-ignition engine, liquid cooled engine and it can produce the displacement of about 199.5 cc. The engine will deliver the maximum power output of 25 HP and maximum torque of 19.2 NM as well as it gets a six speed transmission with claw shifted type. The bore and stroke of the bike is found to be 72 mm and 49 mm with the primary gear ratio of 22:72 and secondary gear ratio of 14:42. It is expected that the new bike will generate the maximum speed of 200 kmph.

The new RC 200 bike has been designed in a tubular space frame made from steel tubes with power coated type. The upcoming bike will be fitted with powerful brakes in which it gets a disc brake of 300 mm with four pot brake caliper at the front and 230 mm disc brake with single pot brake caliper at the rear. On the other hand, the KTM RC 200 will have a WP suspension 4357 at the front and WP suspension 4618 EM at the rear respectively. The new bike will consists of 5/8x1/4” X-Ring chain type which is quite good.
