Hyosung has planned to launch its new bike Aquila 250 at the upcoming Auto Expo Event 2014. It will be one of the tough competitors to its similar bike KTM’s Duke. The new bike is expected to come with a price of approximately Rs.2 lakhs but it is packed with lot of exciting and fabulous features.
The new bike looks really trendy with the chrome wraps around the bodywork and the instrument cluster gets a chrome finish treatment which comprises twin-pod analogue dials and high handlebars. The Aquila 250 will have an ergonomically designed low seat and forward set footrests ensuring comfortable riding on long journeys. The seat comes with saddle stitching which matches with the bike’s color looking very decent.
The Hyosung 250 will be powered by a four stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder, V-twin engine with fuel injection providing displacement very close to 249 cc. The engine of the bike can deliver net power of 27 BHP @ 10500 RPM and net torque of 22 NM @ 7500 RPM which is mated with a five speed gearbox. The fuel tank capacity of the bike will be approximately 14 liters. The Aquila 250 will be fitted with an electric starter which will be very easy to start the vehicle without any trouble.
In order to handle the bike easily and smoothly, it gets a 41 mm telescopic suspension at the front and coil spring shocks at the rear. The vehicle will have a semi-floating 275 mm single disc brake with a dual piston caliper up at the front and a drum brake at the rear helps in sufficient braking power. This combination of disc and drum braking system helps to stop the vehicle immediately even in case of emergencies.
