Honda has launched its new funky and sporty scooter known as Dio and it has been designed aimed at youngsters. The new scooter comes with the fuel efficient Honda Eco Technology assuring better performance and mileage. The Dio gets an innovative styling, refined engine, neutral handling and fuel efficient too. Actually, Honda Dio is an ideal scooter for the youngsters and college-goers. The new scooter is available in only one variant christened as Honda Dio DLX with an Ex-Showroom price tag of Rs.45,506 in Delhi. The cost of Honda Dio is an affordable scooter.

Hond Dio Dimensions

The overall dimensions in terms of its length, width and height are measured as 1781 mm, 710 mm and 1133 mm which is quite good. The scooter offers the wheelbase measurement of around 1238 mm and the ground clearance of the Dio is around 158 mm. Along with that the height of the seat is approximately 765 mm providing a comfortable seating position to both rider and passenger.

The engine of the scooter delivers a peak power of 8 BHP @ 7000 RPM in combination with the peak torque of 8.77 NM @ 5500 RPM. The scooter is well equipped with a V matic transmission along with the self and kick starting option. The Honda’s new technology is really helpful in enhancing combustion, optimizing transmission and minimizing friction in the engine. Honda Dio is expected to offer decent mileage and acceleration in which it delivers a healthy mileage of about 60 kmpl which is really impressive.

Brakes and Suspensions

Honda Dio gets a sound and dynamic braking and suspension facilities which helps to halt the vehicle even in heavy traffic. The scooter consists of a rigid under bone type chassis and it is well fitted with a drum brake of diameter 130 mm with Combined Brake System at the front and rear which helps to handle the vehicle very easily. Moving to the suspensions, both front and rear has a spring loaded hydraulic type. Both front and rear tyres are of tubeless type with a tire size of 90/100-10 53J. The tubeless tyres are preferred in order to reduce the chances of immediate deflation of air incase of puncture. The wheels, suspensions and the gearbox are designed with a glossy black finish giving an impressive look to the Dio.
