Honda Amaze Engine Details

Honda assures good engine and their performance on the Amaze and there is no doubt. The engine of Amaze comes in two options such as petrol and diesel. The petrol version of the Amaze is powered by a 1.2 L, 4-cylinder, SOHC, i-VTEC engine which gives a displacement of 1498cc. This type engine delivers the maximum power of 86.7 BHP @ 6000 RPM and maximum torque of about 109 NM @ 4500 RPM. Similarly, the diesel version of the car is housed with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder, DOHC, i-DTEC engine offering the displacement of about 1198cc. The diesel engine churns out the peak power of 98.6 BHP @ 3600 RPM and peak torque of about 200 NM @ 1750 RPM. While talking about the transmission, it has two divisions such as manual and automatic but it may vary for some variants.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

The acceleration of the Honda Amaze is really excellent in both the engines in which the petrol engines can be able to cross the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just 13.3 seconds with the maximum speed of 165 kmph. On the other hand, the diesel engine can touch 0-100 kmph in just 12.5 seconds with the peak speed of about 175 kmph. Not only the acceleration is good, but also the mileage and fuel economy is also too good.
