The stylish two wheeler manufacturer Honda has launched its new Activa-i which is quite cheaper, lighter and more stylish compared to its previous Activa scooter. The Honda Activa-i comes with a price tag of around Rs.45,881 and it is a unisex scooter with a hint of feminism around the restyled fibre body. This new scooter fights against its similar other scooters such as TVS Wego, Hero Maestro, Mahindra Gusto, TVS Jupiter and so on. But most of the females are impressed by Activa-i for its size and better road grip.

Honda Acitva-i Body Dimensions

Honda has reduced its size of new Activa-i compared to its previous Activa and it looks small and stylish. The dimensions in terms of length, width and height are represented below

Honda Activa-i Engine Specification

Honda Activa-i is packed with powerful engine in which it features a four stroke, air cooled, SI engine with a displacement of 109.20cc. This engine helps in delivering the peak power output of 5.83Kw (8 bhp) at 7500rpm in combination with the peak torque output of 8.74Nm at 5500rpm. The vehicle is provided with both kick and self start options enabling the rider to start their vehicle in an easy way. Actually, the scooter is incorporated with a new Honda Eco Technology in its engine for better fuel efficiency.

Honda Activa-i Mileage

Since the vehicle comes with a new HET technology which could enhance the fuel efficiency. The Honda Activa-i has been provided with a viscous air filter enables to filter the air and it allows the engine to be very cool. The scooter can accelerate from 0-60kmph in just 11 seconds and it de-accelerates the speed from 60-0kmph within 12 seconds. Honda claims that the Activa-i generates the healthy mileage of around 60kmpl and it can be able to give maximum speed of around 83kmph respectively. It has an automatic transmission providing a hassle free ride in city traffic. The V-Matic drive helps to offer smooth acceleration.

Braking and Handling System

Both front and rear wheels are embedded with 130mm drum brakes in order to control the speed of the scooter. In addition, it has Combi Brake System assuring safer braking even riding at a higher level of speed and it works at both front and rear brakes are active where as the rear brake applied, the front brake works without any trouble. For better road grip on roads, the Activa-i is fitted with a 10” tire at both front and rear. It is easy to handle at any kind of road condition since the scooter comes with a spring loaded hydraulic type front and rear suspension. Along with other features, the vehicle has a perfectly positioned handle bar enabling the vehicle to be stable even cornering and on sharpest turns.

Honda’s old Activa got “Scooter of the Year 2011 Award” and it is expected that the new Activa-i also would get the same with its awesome features. Overall, the Honda Activa-i would be really worthy for its price and it is suitable for both first-time riders and experienced riders.
