Apr 13, 2009 - Honda Motor introduced the “New Honda Activa” which is developed with 110cc engine delivering 15 percent increased mileage than the previous bike. This has been launched with refreshing style, extra mileage and many more new features. The company informed that the new Honda Activa would be available in six attractive shades with a price tag of Rs.41,062 in Ex-Showroom Hyderabad.

Honda has been the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer which launched its new Honda Activa with the progressive Combi-Brake feature. The Honda Activa enters into the Indian Market with the host of new and innovative features. The bike is very ideal in design and technology which offers smooth and joyful ride. Style and Engineering
The Honda bikes are having a classy, stylish, impressive and irresistable appearance. It is one of the good looking and comfortable bike in India.This bike is a valuable option for both first-time riders and experienced riders. The bike consists of multi-reflector head lamp and clear front turn indicators giving an elegant look and supports night driving easy and pleasurable. The new Honda Activa boasts an Anti-theft Key Shutter which enriches the safety feature of the bike. The bike features metal body parts to manage even in the toughest Indian road conditions. The Honda Activa is fitted with Self Start and Kick Start options.
The Honda Activa comes up with Convenient Lift-up Independent Cover which allows to lift the entire rear body cover and it is powered by a 4-Stroke, Single-Cylinder, Air-Cooled OHC engine. The renovated engine of the bike pumps out a good mileage and fuel efficiency. The bike contains a stylish Inner Box and Flat Foot Board along with a hook which expands the storage capacity of the Activa. The Honda Activa is specially designed with long and comfortable seat of height 765mm in order to minimize the riding tired and enables riding more joyful and comfy. The bike has lockable Storage Capacity of about 18 litres in which we can keep all the things safely.
The rear appearance of the Honda Activa is also very sleek and peppy. The bike is equipped with Viscous Air Filter for low maintenance and Tuff-Up Tyre which prevents sudden puncture. The bike is embedded with the high rigidity underbone type frame and the wheelbase is measured as 1238mm. The ground clearance of the bike is 145mm and it has drum brakes with CBS technology. The new Honda Activa is suitable for college-going girls, working women and older people.
Engine
The new Honda Activa houses a 4-Stroke, Single Cylinder, Air-Cooled OHC engine with a displacement of 109cc. The bike offers maximum speed of 8bhp @ 7500rpm and maximum torque of 0.9kg-m @ 5500rpm with V-matic transmission.
Acceleration and Milage
The maximum speed of the Honda Activa is nearly 80 kmph since it owns the new refreshed engine which ensures more power and pick-up. As per HMSI test conditions, it delivers nearly 52 kmpl. The bike discharges a mileage of around 45kmpl in city and 50 kmpl on highway. The revamped engine generates 15% increased mileage than the other bikes.
Fuel Efficiency
The Honda Activa is considered to be one of the best Scooter in India for its fine mileage and fuel efficiency. The maximum fuel tank capacity of the bike is 5.3 litres whereas the fuel filling system is same as by lifting the seat.

Braking and Handling
The Honda Activa is adopted with advanced braking technology such as Combo-Brake feature which allows shorter braking distance and stable braking. The bike possess drum brakes of about 130mm diameter along with CBS at the front and rear. The front suspension of the bikes is having a bottom link with Spring Loaded Hydraulic Damper while the rear suspension is of Unit Swing with Spring Loaded Hydraulic Damper. In addition to all, the Honda Activa is incorporated with Puncture Resistant Tuff-Up tube at the rear tyre which reduces the sudden puncture by 70%. These features enhance the safety and comfortable riding.
