One of the leading two wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has debut its all new Xtreme 200 S at the recently held Auto Expo Event 2016 which will compete with its similar other bikes like TVS Apache RTR 200, KTM Duke 200, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and other 200-250cc bikes. It will enter into Indian two wheeler market at the first half of 2017 at an attractive price of around Rs.1 lakh.

Style and Engineering


At its first sight of the new 200cc Hero Xtreme 200S, it looks very trendy packed with unique features. This new bike will be considered as the more powerful version of the existing Xtreme fitted with more features and better riding capabilities. This naked sport bike has been designed with a focus of young bike enthusiasts with its Cheetah-inspired design. It is built on the basis of strong diamond chassis giving an aggressive and sporty appearance featuring air vents in the front cowl, belly pan along with tank shroud which not only improves the cooling of engine and performance but enhances its appeal.

Some of its highlighting features include a mono halogen headlamp with twin LED pilot lights, LED tail lamp, dual tone seats, analog digital instrument console, colored inner mud guard at the rear, contrast colored front mud guard etc. The manufacturer added a vertical flow towards its rear and weight at the front which shows a synergy between body and mechanical elements. The side profile is decorated with a multi spoke 17 inch wheels at both front and rear.

Hero Xtreme 200S Engine Details


Hero Xtreme 200S features a 200cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder, air cooled engine churning out the maximum power of 18.5bhp at 8500rpm and maximum torque of 17.2Nm at 6000rpm mated to the five speed manual transmission. It is expected to deliver healthy fuel efficiency in the range of 40kmpl – 45kmpl.

Hero Xtreme 200S Brakes and Suspensions


Hero Xtreme 200S is well equipped with good braking system in which both front and rear wheel has a standard disc brakes. Additionally, the bike gets an advanced braking technology of Antilock Braking System. This helps to halt the vehicle while applying brakes and it ensures better safety even riding in poor road conditions. For better handling of the vehicle, the Xtreme 200S will be offered with a front telescopic hydraulic type suspension and rear mono suspension.
