Hero Motocorp, the homegrown auto manufacuturer has unveiled its new motorcycle among the splender series known as Splendor iSmart. The iSmart is the new generation version of Hero’s iconic model which enables the manufacturer to occupy a strong position in the Indian commuter motorcycle segment. The Hero Splendor iSmart price is expected to be in the range around Rs.45,000-Rs.48,000.

The new Splendor iSmart has been designed with lot of changes from its appearance to its technical advancements. One of the major change is i3S which is a start-stop system. The engine will be in off stage once the bike is in idling and in on stage when there is a need for movement. The main purpose of this system is to increase the fuel efficiency of the bike in city riding conditions.

The new Splendor iSmart gets an aerodynamic front cowl, stylish rear grab rails as well as a luxurious seat texture. It will be fitted with a matte black exhaust silencer and all-weather power start option which is standard in all variants. The bike has an exciting body graphics which looks really impressive. The front is very majestic with its bright and radiant headlamps giving more viewability to the riders and the centre has a meter console. The stylish meter console displays all the vital information of the bike helpful for the riders in just a glance. The seating arrangement of the bike is very comfortable and luxurious suitable for long journeys too. Not only the front, the rear is also superb with tail light. The bike will come with an alloy wheels and the tyres would give better road grip adding more safety.

The Hero Splendor iSmart engine will be powered by an Air-Cooled, 4-Stroke Single Cylinder OHC which offers the displacement of 97.2 cc. The engine will churn out the maximum power of 5.74 KW (7.8 PS) @ 7500 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of 0.82 KG-M (8.04 NM) @ 4500 RPM. The bike has a self starting option along with DC Digital CDI ignition type.

The Hero Splendor iSmart bike will come with the tubular double cradle frame type chassis and it has sound and dynamic braking and handling facilities. Both front and rear brakes are available with an internal expanding shoe type but the diameter may varies. The front brakes will have a diameter of 130 mm and rear brakes will have 110 mm. Along with that, the bike will possess a12V-3 Ah Maintenance Free Battery which is helpful in case of any problems in start option.

The Hero Splendor iSmart will be available in various attractive shades at an economical price. The new bike is expected to be a tough competitor to its similar other bikes such as Mahindra Centuro, Bajaj Discover 100T, TVS bikes and many more. Overall, the new Hero Splendor iSmart specification is believed to be a good bike with better mileage.
