The leading manufacturer Hero has unveiled its new concept bike known as SimplECity at the Auto Expo Event 2014. The new SimplECity has been designed for personal use in urban areas while riding in heavy traffic roads. The vehicle looks similar to the bicycle and it will be a light weight vehicle for optimum performance in city conditions which is expected to be priced around Rs.35,000.
The dimensions of Hero SimplECity in terms of its length, width and height are displayed below.

Along with that, the kerb weight of the bike is found to be 35 kg and the ground clearance is 240 mm.
The new electric bike will be powered by a 4 kW hub motor which can be able to accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 9.8 seconds. The power is supplied through a Li-on 1kWh battery rated at 51 volts. The SimplECity can deliver the maximum speed of around 60 kmph.
The vehicle is provided with the removable batteries for charging and it is possible to connect an user’s smart phone which increases the bike’s instrument cluster and it can be mounted between the handle bars. The smart phone app helps to know about the vehicle details for the rider in just a glance.
The seating posture of the new motorcycle is totally different from other bikes but very comfortable. The Hero SimplECity will be packed with cutting edge features of regenerative braking and it is available with a special walk mode. The front wheels of the bike will be fitted with the disc brakes while the rear wheels will have motors in the hub.
The bike is easy to handle with the hydraulic telescopic fork front suspension and adjustable shock absorber rear suspension. The SimplECity will provide an efficient and reliable intra-city travel experience to the urban commuters.
