The two wheeler manufacturer Hero MoroCorp is in the plan to deliver its first global electric hybrid scooter known as Leap at the upcoming Auto Expo Event 2014. The company claims that it will definitely satisfies the demands of the consumers with the revised features provided with the scooter. It is expected that the Leap will be available in two attractive colors namely White and Green.
The main feature of the Leap will be that it may run on both battery and petrol and it will be boasted with rechargeable battery which is really helpful to charge the scooter. The electric motor helps to drive the vehicle which utilizes the power from the battery stack that is recharged by a small capacity internal combustion engine serving as a generator. The electric scooter will be fitted with Alloy wheel type for giving better road gripness while moving at a high speed. The scooter gets an Automatic gears in order to shift the gears easily and smoothly.
The engine will be fitted with an air cooling type for removing the heat produced in the engine and allows the engine to be very cool. The electric motor which is combined with the petrol engine will offer the net power of 200 HP. This would surely deliver better performance in terms of mileage, acceleration and pick up. The fuel efficiency of the Leap is expected to be around 100 kmpl mileage. The integrated fuel tanks will be able to hold from 2 liter (scooters) to 15 liters (motorcycles) of fuel. The appearance of the scooter is really awesome with a large LCD instrument display which is quite outstanding.
The new electric hybrid scooter will be incorporated with the lot of features including comfortable and adjustable seat, wide underseat storage, luggage compartment in the front, dual LED lights, DRL and front disc brakes. The Leap will come with an unique drive chain case which doubles up as swing arm for the rear suspension for easy handling.
