The Giant manufacturer Hero MotoCorp decides to launch its new lightweight bike HX250R at the upcoming Auto Expo Event, 2014. The Hero HX250R is expected to be priced around Rs.1.5 lakhs which will give a direct competition against the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS and existed bike Honda CBR250.
The HX250R has been designed with an aerodynamic styling featuring the trademark Hero lightning bolt design which looks really awesome. The bike will surely captures the bike enthusiasts with its style, comfortable seats and underseat exhaust, excellent braking and suspension mechanisms, better road gripping tyres etc. In addition, the bike will get a leda lights at front and rear. The new bike will be designed with excellent external dimensions in terms of length, width and height which are displayed below.

Along with that, the bike will provide the wheelbase of 1370 mm and ground clearance of 145 mm. The kerb weight of the bike is found to be approximately 139 kg and the fuel tank capacity of the bike is 12.9 litres.
The Hero HX250R will come with powerful engine in which it is powered by a four stroke, single cylinder, DOHC liquid cooled engine offering displacement of about 249 cc and 31 PS of power as well as 21 NM. This high performance engine with an advanced multi-sensor electronic fuel injection system generates optimal power and response. The engine of the bike will be mated with a six speed constant gearbox for easy and smooth gear transitions. The bike gets a multi plate wet clutch as well as the bore and stroke of the bike is found to be 81 mm and 48.5 mm respectively. The vehicle will deliver the maximum speed in excess of 150 kmph and it can be able to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8 seconds.
The HX250R will be packed with excellent braking and suspension mechanisms in which the front wheel will be fitted with a three piston caliper of 300 mm disc brake with optional Anti Lock Braking System where as the rear will be fitted with 220 mm disc brake with optional ABS. Likewise, the bike is easy to handle with the front telescopic suspensions with hydraulic shock absorbers and single shock, five step adjustable preload shim valve damping rear suspension which is quite good. The bike will be fitted with a tubeless tire of size 110/80 R-17 at the front and 140/70 R-17 at the rear for better road gripness while moving very fast.
