One of the leading two wheeler manufacturer Hero Motocorp has introduced its new Hunk bike in order to satisfy the demands of a big-bike at an affordable cost. The new Hunk comes with lot of updations including digital instrument cluster, disc brakes at the rear and some others. This bike has been designed in order to impress the young crowd and it would be really popular among the college going students. It has been priced in the range of Rs. 69,721 - Rs. 72,825. The Hunk bike is considered to be a great contributor in the two wheeler market.

Style and Engineering

The new masculine bike sports a headlight of 12 V -35 W / 35W - Halogen bulb (Multi Reflector Type) giving bright vision while riding at night time. It has a power start option giving a hassle free starting of the vehicle. The Hunk boasts a digital analogue combo meter console which is quite useful and it has clear mirrors on both sides to view the rear happenings on the road. At the front of the Hunk, it’s contoured visor gets the muscle edge look. The bike is well decorated with an attractive graphics which would be definitely impressed by young bike enthusiasts.

The fuel tank of the bike looks very aggressive with a fuel tank capacity of 12.4 liters with reserve capacity of 2.2 liters ensuring better fuel economy. Hero Hunk weighs approximately 147Kg which is quite bulk. It is fitted with a four stroke single cylinder, air cooled engine with a displacement very closed to 149.2 cc delivering the peak power of 10.6 kW (14.4 Ps) @ 8500rpm along with peak torque of 12.80 Nm @ 6500rpm. The bike has been packed with an advanced microprocessor ignition system for better performance. The vehicle can give good acceleration and pick up in which the Hunk can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in just 5.08 seconds which is quite fast compared to other bikes in its segment. The Hero Hunk would offer a mileage of around 52-58 kmpl in heavy city traffics and 62 kmpl in highways. The bike could be able to offer the top speed of 120kmph and the throttle response is known to be feather touch which is damn attractive.

Brakes and Suspension Mechanisms

Talking about riding and handling, Hunk is one of the excellent bikes in the market with its convenient riding posture and good suspension. It boasts a Nitrox GRS at the back of the bike where as the front is incorporated with telescopic fork suspension. The front has a disc braking type of 240mm diameter and rear has an optional disc brake of diameter 220mm along with 130mm drum brake of internal expanding shoe type. Additionally, the bulky size of the vehicle is really easy to handle without any problem. Both braking and suspensions are good at Hero Hunk assuring safety and security.
