The Hero Achiever is a basic sugary treat. Hero says the old Achiever did well in pockets. It is so well that when Hero begins dealing with this bike, they chose to hold the name. The bike is evaluated at Rs 61,800 ex-showroom Delhi for the drum brake variant. In any case, the one to purchase, in my book, is the disc brake rendition which is just Rs 1,000 more than the drum brake.

Design and Style

The matte-black exhaust has a chrome plated guard, which enhances the premium look of the bike. The engine is also finished in black colour and the five-spoke black alloy wheels add further style to the bike.

Engine Specification

The Hero 149.1cc motor isn't all-new. It now meets BS IV and that is a great deal of tuning work. Keeping that in mind, the motor has new start maps, a redesigned CV carburetor, and an evaporator and in addition a considerable exhaust with a new catalytic converter.

The engine makes 13.6PS at 8,000rpm which is class par and it makes 12.8Nm at 5,000rpm which promises excellent ride ability. Hero says 50kmpl under test conditions (WMTC) and 60kmph should take 5s.

Braking and Handling

The Hero Achiever is a decent handler. It’s a breeze to ride even in restricted paths with tight turns. The Achiever kept up a good balance when I attempted tight turns, at slow speeds. The upright seating position is OK with perfect tallness and width of the handlebar. The suspension setup is close ideal for our conditions. It is not very delicate and does not base even on cruel potholes; in the meantime it offers a significant extravagant ride. The brakes on the Hero Achiever are OK and the expansion of a disc brake is clearly an appreciated element.

Verdict

Decent bike! Hero's Achiever is somewhat staid and exhausting in nature and part yet that is no mischance. The client, they say, is advancing from a 125cc class cruiser, and in that sense they're on a very basic level a preservationist gathering of individuals. Which is the reason, a substantial looking worker with great economy, great refinement and enough execution is required. That, indeed, depicts the Achiever rather briefly, no?
