The Ford manufacturer has introduced its new car known as Ford Ikon in two types of engine options with attractive prices. The Ford Ikon is packed with lot of advanced features which includes Advanced Music System, Door Side Molding, Front and Rear Spoiler, Leather Seats, Chrome Decal Handles etc. The price of Ford Ikon comes with a range between Rs.4.65 lakhs to Rs.5.42 lakhs.

Ford Ikon Engine Details

The Ford Ikon comes with two different engine options such as both petrol and diesel engines. The petrol variants of the car is powered by the 1.3L Rocam petrol engine with SEFI fuel injection system which offers the displacement of 1297 cc. The petrol engine delivers the maximum power output of 70 PS @ 5500 RPM in combination with the maximum torque of 105 NM @ 2500 RPM. At the same time, the diesel variant is well equipped with a 1.4L, Duratorq Common Rail Diesel engine with TDCi fuel injection system which generates the maximum power of 68 PS @ 4000 RPM and maximum torque of 160 NM @ 2000 RPM. The engine is packed with manual transmission type for easy shifing of gears.

Acceleration and Pick Up

The Ford Ikon is expected to offer excellent acceleration and pick up in which the petrol variant of the car can be able to touch the barrier of 0-100 kmph in just a short span of 13.8 seconds with the maximum speed of 159 kmph. Likewise, the diesel variant of the car can cross 0-100 kmph in just 15.2 seconds with the top speed of 156 kmph.

Ford Ikon Fuel Economy

The fuel efficiency of the Ford Ikon is also superb in which the petrol variant of the car delivers a healthy mileage of 12 kmpl in city traffic roads and 16.5 kmpl on highways. At the same time, the diesel variant generates the mileage of 14 kmpl in city roads and 17.8 kmpl on highways. Since the petrol variant has SEFI fuel injection system and diesel variant has TDCi fuel injection system, the fuel efficiency is too good. The fuel tank capacity of the car is found to be 43 litres respectively.

The exterior appearance of the car looks really stylish which makes every body to turn their heads in just a glance.
