Engine Details of Ford Fiesta

The engine of the Fiesta is an ideal combination of performance and fuel economy in which both the petrol and diesel version is powered by a 1.5L capacity with 4 cylinders in-line and 16 valves in total. The petrol engine is a DOHC type Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing engine where as the diesel engine is of SOHC type Turbo diesel Common Rail Injection system. The petrol variants offers the displacement of about 1499cc with the maximum power of 109 BHP @ 6045 RPM and maximum torque of 140 NM @ 4500 RPM. Likewise, the diesel variant gives 90 BHP @ 3750 RPM peak power and 204 NM @ 2000-2750 RPM with the displacement of about 1498 cc.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

While comparing with other cars, Fiesta is good at performance, mileage and fuel efficiency. The petrol engine of the fiesta can cross 0-100kmph within 12.5 seconds while the diesel engine can touch 0-100kmph in just 13.2 seconds. Fiesta is believed to be good for both city roads and highways in which the perol version can attain the maximum speed of about 190kmph and the diesel version can attain maximum speed of 185kmph. On city roads, the petrol variant delivers 14kmpl and on highways it gives 17kmpl. On the other hand, the diesel variant generates a healthy mileage of about 20kmpl on urban roads and 23.5kmpl on highways.
