Force Motors was founded in the year 1958 and now acquired by the Indian automaker Bajaj Auto Limited. The company has also involved in the manufacturing of formidable sports utility vehicles. Force Motors has launched its new Sports Utility Vehicle christened as Force One into the Indian market with an attractive price tag. The new SUV is a tough competitor to its similar other vehicles such as Mahindra Thar, Maruti Gypsy and many more in its segment.

Force One Engine Details

The Force One is packed with a pair of engine options in which the buyers can be able to select from them. One version of the car is powered by a 2.2 L inter cooled, turbocharged, 2149 cc, 4 cylinders with 16 valves. This engine comes with a common rail direct injection based fuel supply system which delivers the maximum power of 139 BHP @ 3800 RPM in coupling with the maximum torque of 321 NM @ 1600-2400 RPM which is quite good. This power packed engine is mated with a proficient five speed manual transmission gear box with the BS-IV emission norms. Another engine is a 2.6 L turbocharged, intercooled diesel engine with 4 cylinders and a proficient fuel supply system which gives a displacement very close to 2596 cc. This engine can generate the peak power of 81 BHP @ 3200 RPM in combination with a peak torque of 230 NM @ 1800-2000 RPM which is good for the Indian roads. It is mated with a proficient five speed manual transmission gear box and the engine is derived from the Mercedes engines along with the BS-III norms.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

Force One is expected to provide a decent acceleration, mileage and fuel economy. The heavy duty 2.6 L diesel engine would attain the maximum speed till 140 kmph but the time taken to touch 100 kmph is not yet released but it may be in double digits. Likewise, the 2.2 L diesel engine can be able to achieve the maximum speed of 150 kmph and it can propel from 0-100 kmph in just 17 seconds which is really exciting. The 2.6 L engine would deliver a mileage of about 9-11 kmpl on the Indian roads where as the 2.2 L engine delivers the mileage in the range of about 14-17 kmpl which is quite impressive.

Design and Comfort

Force One Interiors

Force Motors has performed their best in designing the interiors of the One with lot of comfortable features for the passengers convenience. The car comes with a dual tone interior schemes with high quality plastic material improving the interior appearance of the car. It has a decent dashboard which looks very dark along with the bright instrument cluster which comprises speedometer, a tripmeter, a tachometer, some notification and warning lamps for information provision for the driver etc makes the drive more comfy and hassle free. It is believed that it is well packed with an advanced air conditioning system with heater and ventilation, AC vents and other controls on the dashboard helps in cooling the entire cabin in an uniform manner. The Force One has an excellent seating arrangements in which the seats are plush and wrapped with high quality upholstery suitable for long drives and makes the passengers to be feel very urbane. The driver seat is of adjustable type which is easy for the driver and the steering wheel is also of tilt adjustable. This SUV is packed with ample amounts of space in all the cabins which gives a mesmerizing interior comfort and even three persons can easily fit in at the back. Force One comes with an audio controls which is mounted on the multifunctional steering wheel which helps in easy inserting of CD in the audio system and then keep shuffling numbers without allowing hand and eyes off the roads. Some other interior features includes sun visors for front driver and co-passenger, rear view mirror, a centre arm rest for front seats, audio system with speakers etc. All these features helps in going for a pleasurable journey.

Force One Exteriors

Force One comes with a lot of thrilling exterior features which would entice the customers. The front appearance of the SUV has been refined and revised with a thick black horizontal strip dividing the grille in two equal parts. The grille gets a large company logo affixed on it and it is surrounded by a radiant head lamps with high intensity projector lights with side turn blinkers. The car has a solid steel bar front bumper in black colour with the provision of license attachment plate. For adding more elegance, the bonnet has some character lines and the front windscreen is made up of laminated toughened glass with a couple of intermittent wipers. Moving to the side profile, the car gets a single door and three door on each side along with black coloured ORVMs and door handles. The rear part of the car has a wide tail gate helps in easier entry and exit of the passengers as well as it has a bright tail lamp cluster. It is also fitted with a set of stylish black roof rails providing a masculine appeal to the SUV. The base variant of the car comes with a light weight 16 inch steel wheels while the mid and top end variants are packed with a set of alloy wheels which are wrapped with tubeless radial tyres of size 235/70 R16 for the base and mid and 245/70 R16 for top end variants offering superior grip on any terrain. The SUV is very spacious and six to seven passengers can be seated comfortably with enough leg room, head room, shoulder room etc. The external measurements of the car includes a length of 4860 mm, width of 1780 mm and height of 1885 mm which offers apt comfort for all the passengers.

Braking and Handling

The braking and handling of the Force One is good with a sturdy suspension system as well as excellent braking systems. The front axle of the car comes with an independent double wishbone type of mechanism with coil springs, anti roll bar with gas charged telescopic shock absorbers. Likewise, the rear axle of the car has a multi-link coil spring based mechanism with anti roll bar with gas charged shock absorbers. The front and rear wheels of the SUV is fitted with an efficient disc brakes assuring proper control of the driver.

Force One Safety Features
