Force Motors, home bred automobile makers has introduced the much awaited Sports Utility Vehicle known as Gurkha into the Indian market in three variants. Force Motors gives a heavy competition to its similar others such as Mahindra Thar, Maruti Gypsy and many more in its segment.

Force Gurkha Models

Force Gurkha is available only in diesel models and there is no petrol option for the car. The diesel models along with the price details are as follows.

Force One Engine

The Force Gurkha is available only in diesel engine and it is powered by a 2.6 L OM611, 2600 cc turbo-diesel engine which is very powerful and suited for long hour off road journeys. The new engine of the car generates the maximum power of 81 BHP in combination with the maximum torque of 320 NM which is quite good for the Indian road conditions. This engine consists of a new EGR cooling unit with a EGR valve which is mated with a 4x4 system five speed manual transmission system with lockable differential feature. Along with that, Gurkha comes with an advanced All Wheel Drive capability for better performance over the high grounds.

Acceleration, Mileage and Fuel Economy

Since the Gurkha is well equipped with a 2.6 L engine of BS-III emission, it offers excellent acceleration and pick up. The company believes that the car would generate a decent acceleration but the details are not yet released but it is expected that it would attain the maximum speed of about 140 kmph which is really impressive. Similarly, the car would generate a healthy mileage which is quite exciting and it would definitely impress the customers.

Design and Comfort

Force Motors has performed their best in designing the interiors of the Gurkha with lot of comfortable features for the passengers convenience. The car comes with a dual tone interior schemes with high quality plastic material improving the interior appearance of the car. It has a decent dashboard which looks very dark along with the bright instrument cluster which comprises speedometer, a tripmeter, a tachometer, some notification and warning lamps for information provision for the driver etc makes the drive more comfy and hassle free. It is believed that it is well packed with an advanced air conditioning system with heater and ventilation, AC vents and other controls on the dashboard helps in cooling the entire cabin in an uniform manner. The Gurkha has an excellent seating arrangements in which the seats are plush and wrapped with high quality upholstery suitable for long drives and makes the passengers to be feel very urbane. The driver seat is of adjustable type which is easy for the driver and the steering wheel is also of tilt adjustable. Force Gurkha Exteriors

Force Gurkha comes with a lot of thrilling exterior features which would entice the customers. The front appearance of the SUV has been refined and revised with a thick black horizontal strip dividing the grille in two equal parts. The grille gets a large company logo affixed on it and it is surrounded by a radiant head lamps with high intensity projector lights with side turn blinkers. The car has a solid steel bar front bumper in black colour with the provision of license attachment plate. For adding more elegance, the bonnet has some character lines and the front windscreen is made up of laminated toughened glass with a couple of intermittent wipers. Moving to the side profile, the car gets a single door and three door on each side along with black coloured ORVMs and door handles. The rear part of the car has a wide tail gate helps in easier entry and exit of the passengers as well as it has a bright tail lamp cluster. It is also fitted with a set of stylish black roof rails providing a masculine appeal to the SUV. The vehicle is packed with a wide 16 inch alloy wheels covered with tubeless radial tyres of size 245/70 R16 which is believed to have a superior grip on any terrain. Force Gurkha comes with a perfect combination of braking and handling mechanism for total control and stability. The front tire is incorporated with a 262 mm disc brakes while the rear tire is packed with a duo servo with LSV auto adjuster. The car has a refined version of handbrake for effective braking mechanism which is very helpful during any accidental hazards. Since the tyres are very large, fat and massive plays a major role in offering a superior grip to the car. With these features, skidding can be controlled even in the slippery roads and roads during rainfall. The SUV has been designed with a high tensile strength metal which increases the safety of the passengers. Apart from that, a tubular chassis adds more safety during the crashes.
