Chevrolet Enjoy Review

General Motors in India has rolled out its much awaited multipurpose vehicle known as Chevrolet Enjoy in both petrol and diesel variants on May 9,2013. The new car comes with lot of advanced and stunning features in attractive prices.

Chevrolet Enjoy Models

Both petrol and diesel options are available for the new MPV. The petrol versions of the car includes

3) Chevrolet Enjoy Petrol LT 7 Seater
4) Chevrolet Enjoy Petrol LTZ 7 Seater

At the same time, the diesel versions of the Enjoy are as follows

Price

The company has launched the Enjoy in three trim levels such as LS, LT, LTZ with three petrol and diesel variants. The petrol variants of the Chevrolet Enjoy has been priced between Rs.5.49 lakh and Rs.6.99 lakh while the price of diesel variant ranges between Rs.6.69 lakh and Rs.7.99 lakh. The LS petrol and diesel model of the car is available in both 7 and 8 seat versions.

Engine

In order to satisfy the customer, the Chevrolet Enjoy is available in two engines which is believed to offer excellent mileage and fuel efficiency. The petrol version of the car is powered by a 1.4 litre SMARTECH engine providing maximum power output of 102.6 BHP @ 6000 RPM and torque of about 131 NM @ 4400 RPM. Likewise, the diesel variant of the car comes in a 1.3 lire turbo charged DOHC diesel engine with hydraulic lash adjusters for minimizing the maintenance issues which generates the power of 76.4 BHP @ 4000 RPM and torque of about 188 NM @ 1750 RPM. The petrol engine gives the displacement of 1399cc whereas the diesel engine gives 1248cc respectively. With that, both engines are mated with five speed manual transmission for better handling and control of the vehicle. These two engines assures excellent performance and better driveability.

Mileage, Acceleration and Fuel Economy

The company ensures good pick up of 21.36 seconds for reaching the 100 kmph with the diesel engine while the petrol can attain 0-100 kmph in just about 14.8 seconds. The maximum speed of the vehicle with the petrol engine is around 175 kmph and 160 kmph for diesel engine which is rather impressive. Chevrolet Enjoy offers excellent mileage on both city and highways in which the petrol version generates a healthy mileage of about 11.2 kmpl in urban roads and 13.7 kmpl on highways. Similarly, the diesel variant of the car generates the mileage of 15.8 kmpl in city and 18.2 on highways.

Chevrolet Enjoy Interiors

While talking about the interiors, Chevrolet Enjoy is available with superb interiors along with luxurious and comfortable features. The entire interiors and the inner doors are designed with the beige shade and the front dash comes with dark Grey shade which gives the rich look to the car and it is really marvelous. The interiors of Enjoy comes with certain level of maturity while compared with its previous vehicles which can be definitely welcomed by the Indian customers. Spacing is not a problem in Chevrolet Enjoy since it comes with best spacing arrangements in all rows. It has an adjustable headrests, air conditioning system, dark shaded panel on the rear doors and the arm rests which makes up for an ideal vehicle. The front seating arrangement is further enhanced with gear rod and emergency brake of beige toned and floor is in grey colour. Since the car is very spacious and comfortable, seven to eight members can accommodate the car in a comfortable manner. The front dashboard comes with triple cluster silver surround instrument panel for driver facilities. In addition, it has a tilt steering setting and theatre style seating arrangement which enables a perfect air circulation for the passengers. It is expected that it would offer a race car feel and a remarkable experience for any driver.

Chevrolet Enjoy Exteriors

If a car comes with good interiors, comfortable features and excellent engine, then obviously it would have attractive exterior features. According to that, Enjoy is also designed with awesome exteriors in which the front part of the car features a headlamp cluster, front grille and fog lamps which assures not only beauty but also ensures better safety. The front grille is very innovative along with the company logo fixed in the middle which looks so good and neat. The side profile is also really decent with the aerodynamic details which separates from a normal MPV. The side profile of the car consists of a body coloured door handles, ORVMs and black bordered windows which gives a complete look to the vehicle. Enjoy is designed with sturdy and robust wheels of six spoke 14 inch alloy with the tubeless tire size 175/70 R14 and wheel size 14x5J in its top variant. The luggage can be taken in with the help of the perfect friction resistant railing system roof of the vehicle. The rear design of the car is also well designed, sculpted and crafted. The external measurements of the car includes 4305mm length, 1680mm width, 1750mm height, 2720mm wheelbase respectively.

Braking, Handling and Safety Features

The Chevrolet Enjoy had been designed by keeping in the mind to be very safe and secure in order to fulfill customer’s wish. The braking system is believed to be very strong and powerful with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. For complete secure, it comes with Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake force Distribution system and Brake Assist. The suspension system is of McPherson struts with a multi link coil spring for better handling and control of the vehicle.
