Bajaj plans to launch its new stable and comfortable alternative to the three wheeled autorickshaw known as RE60 very soon in Indian market with an expected price of around Rs.2 lakh. Bajaj RE60 is neither a car nor an auto rickshaw but packed with lot of features. The new vehicle will be available in three engine options such as LPG, CNG and gasoline.

The Bajaj RE60 is employed with a liquid cooled, four valve, four stroke, single cylinder, inline DTSi engine which can produce the displacement of around 216cc. The RE60 can generate the maximum power output of 20 BHP in combination with the high torque. It will be offered with a closed loop fuel injection system for better fuel efficiency.

The engine of the car will come with a five speed manual transmission for smooth and comfortable ride. It features a standard rack and pinion steering type for simple handling of the vehicle. The RE60 engine of the car will help in delivering high performance with an amazing fuel efficiency of 37 kmpl with the maximum speed of around 70 kmph which will be quite impressive.

The Bajaj RE60 has been designed with a robust monocoque metal-polymer hybrid structure making easier for the vehicle to roam in and around the city. It is one of the most eco-friendly vehicles to run on the Indian roads. The vehicle can be able to generate with the minimum carbon emission of 60 gm/km. The vehicle looks very compact and light weight which is measured as 400 kg and it is best in class mileage. It will have some important features such as central speedometer cluster, dashboard mounted shifter, folding front windows and 44 liter boot space.

The Bajaj RE60 is expected to provide the turning radius of 3.5m which will be best suited for cities. It will come with great designs, stylish appearance along with enough space for keeping luggages. The vehicle is fitted with a strong suspension for better handling of the vehicle. The side profile of the car will be decorated with a steel wheels with puncture resistant tyres.
