Racemo, the upcoming Sportscar of Tata Motors under its sub-brand TaMo is likely to be launched next year. The car made its global debut at the 87th Geneva Motor Show held earlier this year. To be powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine, the Racemo measures 3835mm in length, 1810mm in width, 1208mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2430mm. The engine produces 186bhp and 210Nm of peak power and torque outputs. Power to the wheels will be transmitted via a 6-speed Automated Manual Transmission gearbox with the help of paddle shifters. A push button reverse will also be offered additionally. The light weight 2-seater sports coupe comes with Tata’s MOFlex multi-material sandwich structure and is claimed to achieve 0 to 100kmph in just 6 seconds. Racemo will be getting ABS, EBS, dual front airbags, three-point seat belt with optional four-point harness, narrow Bi-LED headlamps and so on. Indian debut of the car is expected to be at the 2018 Auto Expo in the month of February next year. Racemo will be aggressively priced in the range of Rs.25 to 30 lakhs.
