Jeep is a brand of American Automobiles that is a division of Chrysler Group LLC,a wholly a wholly owned subsidiary of Italian multinational automaker Fiat S.p.A. Since its inception in 1941, the iconic Jeep brand has been recognized the world over .Jeep is available in 4 body styles-Jeep Crossover,Jeep SUV,Jeep Sports Utility or 4*4 and Jeep trucks,yet,it’s current current product range consists solely of sport utility vehicles and off-road vehicles.Each of these products has been developed with a rich heritage,that get spread across various models like Wrangler,Renegade,Grand Cherokee,Patriot and Compass.While probing ,what is the history that lies behind the production of all-wheel drive SUVs which are capable of traversing the roughest of terrains,the secret revealed that it has its roots in the Military which explains why the SUVs are still such able, rugged vehicles to this day.It is obvious that the Jeep is the off-road iconoclast and that too gets reflected in the term “Jeep” that is synonymous with off-road vehicles and the capability to go almost anywhere.Thus the company gets affiliated with the mantra "Go Anywhere and Do Anything" ,and desired a tad to make their product to stick to reflect the same in the performance .Hence,it’s not just a campaign slogan alone ,also tends to be the way of life to the Jeep owners.When the company decided to roll out its products into India,we were curious to know more about their future line up of products for India. Of the two models that have been selected for India, one is a thoroughbred in the form of the Wrangler, while the other is the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Hence, whenever Jeep thinks the economic climate here in India is favorable for their products, we could see this pioneer making its way into the Indian premium luxury segment.
