Ford Mondeo was launched initialy, an attempt made by Ford India to foray into the D segment cars. But then, due to the very poor demand from the public, Ford was forced to drop Mondeo from its product line up. Now, with Ford's success with the launches of Fiesta and Figo, it is gearing up to try its luck in other sedan segments and Mondeo, may now be a welcome product.
Ford Mondeo, like its previous generations, will be powered by a powerful 2 L diesel engine. Ford may likely bring powerful petrol engines such as the 2 L and the 2.3 L engine, so as to compete with Accord and its likes. Expect Ford Mondeo in early 2012.
