Yamaha has launched its new commuter motorcycle Saluto with both drum and disc brakes at Rs.52,000 and Rs.54,500 respectively. Saluto is powered by a newly developed air cooled, single cylinder 125cc engine of brand's Blue Core ideal. This could be considered as the light weight motorcycle in its segment which weighs nearly 112kg. The engine of the bike produces the maximum power of 8.3PS at 7000rpm and maximum torque of 10.1Nm at 4500rpm mated to a four-speed transmission. With the powerful brand engine, it could deliver an attractive mileage of around 78kmpl which is really good. Saluto features a telescopic fork up front suspension and a swingarm for the rear suspension. This Yamaha Saluto is a tough competitor to its similar other bikes such as Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Discover 125, Hero Glamour and TVS Phoenix.
