Yamaha, the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer has launched a new scooter,called Cygnus Alpha at 2014 Auto Expo. It gets the same 113cc, 4 stroke, air cooled engine which is already employed in the Yamaha Ray.The engine can develop net power of 7.1 Ps at 7500 rpm and net torque of 8.1Nm at 5000 rpm. It gets a stylish headlamp which is quite useful while riding at night time. The scooter comes with telescopic forks for front suspension. It includes drum brakes at both front and rear.It is available in five colour options such as black, grey, white, red and magenta and is priced at Rs 49,518. It competes with the scooters like Honda Activa, Suzuki Swish, Suzuki Access and Piaggio Vespa.
