Hyosung was founded in 1978 as a part of the Hyosung Group of industries which started its production of Japanese Suzuki motorcycles under license for the South Korean market in Changwon, South Korea in 1979. They were the authorized motorcycle distributor for the 1988 Summer Olymphics in Seoul. Hyosung Motors Division was grabbed by Korean company in June 2007 and the name was modified to S&T Motors.
