Bajaj jas just launched its new Platina ES in India at an affordable cost of Rs.44,507. Actually it is an upgraded version of previous 100cc commuter bike with lot of cosmetic and mechanical changes. The new bike features a 102cc DTS-i engine with an ExhausTEC system which churns out the maximum power of around 8.1bhp and maximum torque of around 8.63Nm respectively. The engine of the Platina ES is mated to a four speed gearbox which is quite good. It is well fitted with a telescopic forks at the front suspension and SNS shocks with coil springs at the rear suspension. Both ends of the bike gets incorporated with the drum brakes of about 110mm. The company claims that the new bike would provide a better fuel efficiency of 96.9kmpl and it would be really perfect for the consumers those who need a basic hassle free bike with excellent fuel economy. The Bajaj Platina ES competes with similar other 100cc bikes such as Hero Splendor Plus, TVS Star City Plus, Honda Dream Neo and Suzuki Hayate.
