The Czech automaker Skoda is planning to bring its high performance Octavia vRS model on to the Indian shores.It will be available in two engine options-petrol and diesel. Powering the petrol variant is a 2.0-litre turbocharged unit that is rated at 217PS of max power, while the diesel variant will be served by a 2.0-litre TDI engine that is rated at 182PS. Both engines could be mated to either a 6-Speed manual gearbox or a 6-Speed dual-clutch transmission with optional paddle shifters. We might expect the features like start-stop,regenerative braking systems and seven-speed DSG are to be granted with this car as a standard ones.Besides,it is feature packed with new bodykit, bold vRS badging at the back, honeycomb-shaped air intakes on the re-designed front grille, bi-xenon headlamps with LED daytime running lights, a black diffuser at the back, chrome plated exhaust tips, a rear spoiler and red painted brake callipers. Regarding the interior design,Octavia vRS gets decked with sporty front seats, a leather wrapped steering wheel, stainless steel pedals and sill plates and leather wraps on the handbrake and the gear knob. It is about to be priced slightly higher than the Octavia thus can be expected in the range of Rs 18 and Rs21 lakhs.
