Celerio Cross is the updated facelift version of Maruti’s popular hatchback Celerio. The model was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo held at Greater Noida. Powering the Celerio Cross will be the same 1.0-litre K10B Petrol engine which currently powers the Celerio. The engine gets mated to a five-speed Manual or a CVT gearbox delivering maximum power of 67bhp @ 6000rpm and maximum torque of 90Nm @ 3500rpm. A 0.8-litre diesel mill is also expected to be offered later in Celerio Cross. The major difference to be noted in the Celerio Cross when compared to Celerio will be the black outside rear view mirrors which is body-coloured in the current model and the contrast red inserts and stitching on the seat and steering wheel. Additional features include a touchscreen, reverse parking sensors, steering mounted audio and bluetooth controls along with updated seat fabric. All other standard and safety features of Celerio will be retained in the Celerio Cross too. Once launched, Celerio Cross will be a tough competitor to Volkswagen Polo Cross and Toyota Etios Cross.
