What we Like it

Pretty external appearance with unbelievable interiors and comfortable features. Advanced entertainment system for a reasonable cost.

What we don't Like it

Less comfortable features for the base variant and low ground clearance. Poor diesel motor power delivery.

About Maruti Baleno

Maruti has launched its all new premium hatchback Baleno at an attractive price of Rs.4.99 lakh for the base variant. This new vehicle comes in four different trims namely Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It is to be noted that a CVT automatic option is only provided for the Delta variant. The new Baleno is available in both petrol and diesel engine options in which the petrol trims are powered by a 1.2 litre k12 engine delivering the power of 83.1bhp and torque of 11.7kgm. On the other hand, the diesel trim gets a 1.3 DDis engine churning out the maximum power of 73.9bhp and maximum torque of 19.3kgm. Both petrol and diesel engines of the car is mated to five speed gearboxes along with a CVT automatic gearbox for the petrol trim. So, Maruti Baleno is going to be a very tough competitor to its similar other cars such as Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo.
